Everybody knew what was going on, and yet it wasn’t anything to do with them, somehow. You know that’s important, that we’re all responsible for each other. And the understanding that …by learning about it, by seeing how the absolutely unimaginable… horrors that happened…that you know, we, we learn how it was possible. How it was enabled, and you know the steps that were taken. We can stop, that it’s possible.
The AJR is home to the UK’s largest community of Holocaust refugees and their descendants, welcoming anyone with a connection to – or interest in – this history, from researchers to those committed to remembrance and education.
