Funding for Impact

Keeping history alive. Challenging misinformation. Inspiring understanding. Education is at the heart of everything we do at the Association of Jewish Refugees.

A Leading Voice in Holocaust Education

The AJR is proud to be the UK’s largest dedicated funder of Holocaust education programmes and projects.

Through funding, partnerships, and advocacy, we support powerful programmes that deepen understanding of the Holocaust and confront antisemitism.

We support a wide range of initiatives across the country, from schools and universities to museums, educational charities, and grassroots organisations,  all working to ensure that the history of the Holocaust is taught with accuracy, depth, and sensitivity.

Our aim is not only to educate, but to empower people of all ages and backgrounds to engage meaningfully with this history.

Investing in Impact

We believe that education must lead to meaningful change.

That’s why we prioritise programmes that demonstrate clear, measurable impact, whether in classrooms, communities, or public life. We work closely with our partners to understand outcomes, evaluate success, and continually strengthen the work we support.

And we encourage our funding partners to share their learning with each other for the wider benefit of the Holocaust remembrance sector.

Remembering Together

Education and remembrance go hand in hand.

Alongside our support for learning programmes, the AJR has a long and proud history of funding Holocaust remembrance projects across the UK. From national commemorations to local community initiatives, we help ensure that the stories, experiences, and contributions of Jewish refugees and Holocaust survivors remain visible and understood.

We also recognise Britain’s role in this history, before, during, and after the Holocaust, and we support work that explores and preserves this important national narrative.

Partner With Us

We collaborate with educators, researchers, organisations, and communities across the UK.

If you are developing a project, programme, or initiative aligned with our mission, we welcome the opportunity to work together.

Together, we can ensure that this history is never forgotten – and never repeated.
